PSLE Release Day…

My happiest day in my life happened last year… Although it was several months ago, but I could still remember that day vividly. It was the day where our Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) was released.
That day, we had to report to school punctually at 11am. On the previous nights, I could not sleep as I kept thinking of how well or badly would I score. On that day, I was very nervous and my friends and I went to school at 10.30am.We thought that we were very early but to our surprised a lot of students had reached the school already. Then my friends and I found an empty bench and we started taking. Time passes very quickly as soon, it was 11am. We went to the hall and we sat in our class according to our register number. After a while, the principal came and gave us a speech. She talked about the passing percentage for our cohort and the national cohort. We were glad that we had ninety plus percentage passes. Soon, the clock struck 12noon and it was time to get our PSLE result. The top scholar came from our class! We were as happy as a lark. The top scholar went up the stage and the principal shook his hands and present to him a bouquet of flowers.
Then, it was the most exciting moment. It was time to take our results from our form teacher. The hall was so quiet that you could even hear a pin dropping. We lined up according to register number and went up the teacher to get our results. My register number is the last in class and therefore I had to wait for a long time. My heart was beating very fast and I started sweating. Some students cried for happiness while some for sorrow after knowing their results. Upon seeing that, it made me more and more nervous that my hands started trembling. My parents and siblings also went there to cheer on for me and they asked me not to be worried. Soon, it was my time. My form teacher smiled at me when giving me the certificate. I looked at my certificate and tears started rolling uncontrollably. I ran towards my parents and told them my results. They started crying too as they did not expect me to get such a good marks. I am so happy as I could qualify for my dream secondary school. This is the happiest day for me!

Hong Kong shows…
Whenever I was looking through the photo albums, I will definitely remember the wonderful memories that I had with my family to the trip in Hong Kong and to Disneyland. I enjoyed the trip and there was a particular day that I remembered the most out of the 8 days trip. And that was when we arrived in Disneyland during the first day.
My brother and I were very excited when we board the coach, holding the big and small luggages in our tiny little hands. We placed the luggages in the coach and we set off in high spirits. The journey took about half an hour and we alighted at the Disneyland Hollywood hotel. My parents went to check in to the hotel and my brother and I went around the hotel to explore it. The scenery outside the hotel was very beautiful. Then, our family deposited our luggages at the hotel and we proceeded to the Disneyland to play.
We boarded the bus and we set off to the resort world. My brother and I were very excited as we could get to meet the Disney characters and to play with them. We arrived at the Disney resort shortly and there was a big crowd there, waiting to enter Disneyland. After we had entered into Disneyland, a big mickey mouse face was there to greet us visitors. The face was carved in grass and we took photos of it. Then, we proceeded on into Disneyland. There, many people were in the Disneyland. We walked around the place and it was very fun, and it makes me have the feeling that I am in the real world of Disneyland.
We saw a poster and it says that there is a drawing lesson of mickey mouse and we went in it to learn it. My picture was very ugly as the shape of the mickey mouse’s face was out of shape. Then, after the drawing lesson, we walked further into the Disneyland and we played many different games that were very fun. Besides that, we also bought many beautiful disney characters souvenirs. We toured around the resort and took photos with many different kinds of disney characters. They were all very cute.
In the near evening, there was a march done by the entire Disneyland people and crowds and crowds of people are gathered beside the road track. My family had to nudge our way through the crowd so that we can get a better view of the march that was going on. The people marched out slowly, following to the beat of the music. The view was very nice. My parents were busy taking photos and my brother and I had our eyes glued to the march. The march ended quite fast.
In the evening, we stayed in the Disneyland to witness a show of fireworks at 8pm. The fireworks were very interesting and they made it into a grand manner. After the fireworks show, my family went back to board the bus back to the hotel. We were very tired out. That was indeed the happiest moment in my life.

The Dream of Snow City
The happiest day of my life happened when I was eight years old. As the four seasons does not occur here in Singapore, it has always been my dream to experience the other seasons that Singapore does not have. It all began when I was having a nice chat with my mother…
It was late at night and I could not sleep so I decided to have a chat with my mother. As I needed to attend a morning session school the next day, my mother had tried to convince me to sleep so that I would have energy to pay attention in class the next day. After some futile attempts, she gave up trying to convince me to sleep and chatted with me instead. At that time I was so active that no matter how hard I tried to obey my mother to close my eyes, I still could not get to sleep. Then, my mother asked me a question, “Belinda, have you ever dreamt of experiencing the other seasons which Singapore does not have?” This question made me more active and more wanting to get into the conversation of the seasons. I nodded my head and was just about to begin my chatter when my mother cut in and said, “If you can get to sleep, I’ll promise to bring you to a place where you can experience snow.” Because of her words, I was so thrilled, so happy and excited that I could agree to any conditions that my mother lay. “Think of snow, think of the place where you love to go to…” As I tried to visualise the place that I had dreamt of ever since I was young, I began to drift slowly to sleep. That night could be the happiest moment of my life but after my experience in a place called “Snow City”, I then realised that the happiest moment was when I was experiencing snow.
As promised, my mother brought me to Snow City where the world in it is filled with lots of snow falling and even the temperature felt like real temperature on a snowy day! I built snow castles, snow man, ice towers and lots of different things! There was even a small playground for children to jump and play about! That day was so fun that I had even decided to “leave my mark” there by printing my handprint on the snow characters that I had formed. That day, I had finally fulfilled my wish on experiencing snow and I can never ever forget the beautiful memory that I had. Even though I knew that the snow was man-made, the feeling was so real that no words could be used to describe my feelings at that time. But sadly, good things always come to an end. I had to leave the “city” after some hours of playing. (Though it had been hours, it only felt like an hour to me.) I had dinner in a restaurant that allows a view of “Snow City” and sighed contentedly with all the things that my mother had done for me to fulfill my wish. After that, I, with my mother, went home tired but happy. That day was really an experience that was worth having and the happiest day of my life!

Happiest day of my life...

A “roller-coaster”trip to Bintan

The happiest day of my life was when i was going for a bintan trip with my friends. That morning,I woke up really early with a butterfly feeling in my stomach.I was so excited! My mother sent me to school where i met my friends and teachers who were also going. After my mother and i bade our teary goodbyes,i went into the school and made my way to the assigned meeting place. When i got there,I found out that i was not the first and most of my friends were already there, jumping up and down in excitement. After 10 minutes, everyone had arrived. We thought we could leave straight away but we were wrong. We still had to wait for the bus to arrive and that will take half an hour.We felt that was the longest half an hour we had ever experienced!
Finally the bus arrived and we boarded it hastily. We reached the jetty where we were supposed to board the boat. After another excruiating 20 minutes where everyone was busy going to the washroom and buying sweets and tidbits, the boat was ready for boarding. We lined up orderly and got ready. When it was my turn,i went through the routine body scanner,it beeped furiously and the women asked to search me.I was so terrified that i nearly peed in my pants. In the end,it turned out to be my phone which was causing all the trouble.
We boarded the boat excitedly. No one dared to stand up through the entire 50-minutes (no need the 's') journey as we did not want to fall down.We reached the jetty in Bintan and everyone alighted the bobbing boat.We passed through the custom and saw our hotel bus coming round the bend.We thought we were staying in a grand and luxurious 5-star hotel but we were wrong.Instead,we stayed in 2-star motel which was infested with cockroaches and lizards. We were so disgusted that we did not even dare to step in.In the end,my lion-hearted friend took out her pesticide and started spraying it all over the room. She announced the “all clear” and everyone timidly stepped into the room.We were still on high alert.
After that,it was dinner time and everyone went to the nearby coffeeshop for dinner. The food there was traditional and it tasted was very nice.Quite nice.Everyone was then asked to report to the teacher's room for a briefing. When we reached there, the teacher started talking at 100 miles per hour non-stop about our Socializing skills. We sat still at the floor for about 2 and a half hour before we were allowed to leave.By then everyone was restless.
In the room,we called our parents to update them and everyone sat down on the couch to watch CSI:Miami. It was around midnight by then and even before the show had started,we were already nodding off.No one bothered to sleep on the beds as we were too tired to even move an inch.
It was a valuable experience and i will always treasure it throughout my entire life as my first overseas trip with my friends.

Clarissa's favourite primary school Memory...

My favorite Primary school memory...

I guess my favorite Primary School Memory was when I was told I was the school's prefect team leader, which was higher than senior prefects but lower than the assistant head. I was so happy!Although I could not clinch the spot of Assistant Head Prefect,I decided to make the most of it. I had a lot of fun bossing the prefects around because they had no choice but to listen to me. However, I was frequently scolded by my teacher-in-charge because of some misunderstanding. Those from my school would know who she is and how naggy she can be!I had a terrible time under her but I learnt a lot from her. I hope I can be a part of the Peer Support Board in my school. Wish me luck!

-Clarissa:)-
Hi! Angelic Angela here. This is my favourite school memory post.
When I was in primary school, my CCA was acrobatic gymanstics. I loved it. Now as I think about the sweet memories in my gym hall, I can sense a sense of pride and the sense of happiness as well as longing to go back. It was the hall that I trained in, the hall that I made new freinds, the hall that I always cried in, the hall where I smiled looking satistfied. The hall which my friends and I train in, alert and disciplined. Listening to the coaches instructions. Unwilling we sometimes may be, but knew it was for our good. Being oversplited was tough at first, but it soon felt normal. Holding on a handstand was really tough, but it soon became one of the sweet memories that is etched in my mind forever. I love my school. I love these sweet memories.
Favourite primary School Memory

My favourite primary school memory is the last day of school. We had a graduation party and each class was supposed to come out with a performance. Our class choreograph a dance and we spent alot of time doing that, but luckily all our efforts did not go down the drain as we heard thunderous applause from the audience. After our performance, we went to have our food. My friends and I were chatting happily but time passes really fast. Soon, it was time to go home.We hugged each other and tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably. Then soon we went home. To me, this is my favourite memory in primary school! :D
